Reiki Energy Healing
What is Reiki Energy Healing?
Reiki is an ancient Japanese technique for balancing the body and mind through the application of gentle hands-on pressure. It has been used in traditional medicine for thousands of years. You may also see it referred to as Usui Reiki, an energy healing modality developed in Japan in the 1920s following the teachings of Mikao Usui.
What is Reiki?
Reiki is based on the principle that everything has an energy field, and when we become stressed, ill, or injured, our bodies lose some of that energy. This method of treatment is based on the belief that our bodies are connected by invisible energy lines called “ki” (pronounced “chee”). These ki lines flow throughout the body and connect us to each other and the universe. Chakras are another ancient understanding of energy in the body.
By using gentle touch, practitioners can help restore that energy flow and bring us back into balance. It is a type of alternative medicine that uses gentle touch to promote healing and well-being. Reiki may be incorporated into an overall holistic treatment practice, or as an adjunct to holistic psychotherapy. There are multiple benefits to a holistic psychotherapy approach including a new self-awareness, acceptance, and a new path forward to accomplish your goals.
What are the Benefits of Reiki?
Reiki is often used to help reduce anxiety and stress. It can also help with pain relief, muscle tension, and headaches. In addition to helping people relax, reiki also helps them fall asleep faster and stay asleep longer.
How Does Reiki Work?
Reiki has been used as an effective treatment for insomnia since the 1920s. It works by sending soothing vibrations through the hands of a trained practitioner. The practitioner sends out positive energy through their hands hands. This energy flows throughout the body, bringing peace and relaxation.
Types of Reiki
There are two main forms of reiki: traditional and self-reiki. Traditional reiki involves a trained practitioner who uses his or her hands to send healing energy to another individual. Self-reiki is performed by anyone with training and practice. It is often used as an alternative treatment for people who cannot receive traditional reiki because of medical reasons.
